Debra Ruth Leatherwood was born on June 13, 1956 to Willie Dee and Patsy Ruth (Haynes) Preston in Graham, Texas. She passed away at her home in Jacksboro after a valiant battle with COPD on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was 60 years old. Debra married Donnie Ray Leatherwood in November, 1977 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Most of all Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many people who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Alva Dee, Willie Don, DeeAnna, Robert Dale, Karen, Johnny, Odus, and Vina. Among those that will cherish her sweet memory include her husband Donnie; her children Ernest Massengale, Chad Leatherwood, Amber Carothers, Amanda Oshields, Delilah Williams; sisters Lounette Damron, Linda Rockey; brother Thomas Preston; grandchildren Lewis, Colten, Haylee, Sam, Sydney, Curry, Darcy, Amanda Renee, Kristen, Jordan, Selena, Joshua, Jimmie Leigh, Memphis; great-grandchildren Whitney, Brayden; and Davies; as well as many other extended family members and friends. Services will be Friday, 2 pm, Live Oak Baptist Church with burial following in Loving Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-7pm at Coker Funeral Home under the direction of Coker Funeral Home.
