Danny Ray Rockey was born on May 27, 1960 in Wheeler, Texas to Daniel Ray "D.R." and Linda Gay (Preston) Rockey. He passed away at his home in Jacksboro, Texas surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was 57 years old. Danny married Pamela Sue Davis on August 10, 1979 in Jacksboro. He owned and operated Rockey Well Service, was an independent oilfield consultant, and employed by Bridgadier Oil and Gas. He was a member of Christian Missions Church. Danny loved to golf, hunt, fish, and play 42. He loved to cook for a crowd, and being surrounded by family and friends. He loved his family with all of his heart, they meant the world to him. But first and foremost Danny loved God. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his father D.R. Rockey, his sister Debbie Redding, father-in-law Yvonne "Poochie" Davis, and grandparents Willie D. and Patsy Ruth Preston, James Lawrence and Diza Jane Rockey. Among those who will cherish his memory include his wife Pam of Jacksboro; his children Kirby Rockey and wife Crystal of Willow Park, Brody Rockey and wife Kassie of Jacksboro, Chelsea Erwin and husband Brent of Jacksboro; mother Linda Rockey, mother-in-law Carol Davis both of Jacksboro, sisters Ronda Husky and husband Chad of Jacksboro and Tammy Rockey of Graford; 6 grandchildren Brayden Rockey, Madisyn Rockey, Payeton Terrell, Kolten Rockey, Kolbi Rockey, and Ryder Erwin; and many other extended family members and friends.
