Funeral services for Gerald Don Coker, Sr. 85, of Calhoun, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Black and Rev. Matt Coker officiating. Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Gerald Don was born November 13, 1935 in Calhoun and passed away February 28, 2021 in Calhoun. He was owner of Coker Landscaping for many years and a member of Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association. Gerald Don was a member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Anna Lee Walker Coker and brother, Billy Ray Coker. Gerald Don is survived by his wife of 66 years; Marilyn Moss Coker; daughter; Connie Coker LaBorde; sons; Don Coker and wife Pat and Mark Coker and wife Michele; grandsons; Lane Laborde, Matt Coker and wife Angela; granddaughter; Meagan Hudson; grandsons; Mason Coker and wife Celeste and Wesley Coker and wife Stephanie; grandson; Nickolas Coker; granddaughter; Tiffany Coker Smith and husband Keith; grandson Hunter Coker; 15 great-grandchildren; sister; Ima Nae Green; sisters-in-law; Annette Coker and Evelyn Gammill; brother-in-law; Larry Moss and wife Ann. Pallbearers will be Lane LaBorde, Wesley Coker, Nicholas Coker, Matt Coker, Mason Coker and Hunter Coker. Memorials may be made to New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center.
