The Town Talk Alexandria, Louisiana · Thursday, December 27, 1973 Grover Johnson (Special to the Town Talk) PITKIN, La. -- Grover Johnson, 56, of Pitkin died at 4:40 am Wednesday in Oakdale General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bethel McMullen Johnson of Pitkin; his mother, Mrs. Emma Perkins Johnson of Pitkin; four sons, Gervis Ray Johnson, Obie Ray Johnson, Ocie Johnson, all of Pitkin, and Vervil Johnson of Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Addis Mae Parish, Miss Glenda Fay Johnson, both of Pitkin; Mrs. Gladys Mae Hansen of Houston, Tex., and Mrs.Edith Martin of South Carolina; a brother, Harlis Johnson of Pitkin; three sisters, Mrs. Lola Fee, Mrs. Ola Johnson and Mrs. Odethy Johnson, all of Pitkin, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Holly Springs cemetery under direction of Ardoin of Oakdale.
