Harlis Johnson Born: November 17, 1936 Died: February 25, 2016 Funeral services for Mr. Harlis Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home, Pitkin, with Reverend L.E. Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery, Fort Polk, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Johnson, 79, of Pitkin entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his residence. He is preceded in death by one son, John Johnson. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty seven years, Mary Virginia Johnson of Pitkin; four sons, Jerald Johnson and his wife, Selina, of Rosepine, James Johnson and his wife, Sherri, of DeRidder, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Mary, of Pitkin, Melvin Johnson of Pitkin; one daughter, Nadine Robinson and her husband, Donald, of Calcasieu; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends may call Rush Funeral Home, Pitkin on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
