The News (Frederick, Md.) April 3, 1961 Monday pg 4 Frank Milton Eyler, 65, World War I veteran, died Sunday at 7 a.m. at his home in Thurmont after a lingering illness of 20 years duration. He was born in Thurmont, the son of the late Charles M. and Sarah Staub Eyler. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Thurmont. He is survived by his wife Ella E. Iler Eyler and the following children: Carroll E. Eyler, Thurmont, Herbert W. Eyler, Reisterstown and Mrs. Jean E. Schildt, Thurmont; two grandchildren, Richard W. Eyler and Tony M. child; three brothers, John Eyler of New Windsor, George Eyler of Hamilton, Ohio and Bruce Eyler of Thurmont; one sister, Mrs. Annie Fisher of Washington D. C. The body is at the M. L. Creager and Son funeral home, Thurmont. where friends may call. Services will be held there Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. William E. Ervin Jr., his pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Thurmont. The family request that flowers be omitted.
