James Sampson was born January 18, 1906 at New Albany, Mississippi to Maud and Charles O Nutt. He had five sisters Addie, Jessie, Emily, Troy and Hazel. He married Jewell Key March 30, 1929 at Raleigh, Navarro Co., Texas. They had five children Josie Ruedell, Edna Earl, Sonda,Glenda Faye and Freddy Lynn. He passed away June 17, 1987.
