Fremont Tribune (Fremont, Nebr.), March 30, 1984, p. 5, col. 2 & 3 Cyrill J. Chromy Cyrill J. Chromy, 69, of 1348 Mayfair Ave., died Thursday night of Leukemia at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. A retired farmer, Mr. Chromy was born Nov. 14, 1914 in Linwood. He farmed near Linwood until retiring in Fremont in 1977. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont and the Catholic Workman at Cedar Hill. He married Wilma Vyhlidal on Dec. 27, 1938 at Cedar Hill. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Bernard of North Platte; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Bernadine) Stara of Melbourne, Fla.; four brothers, James of Linwood, Joseph of North Bend, Steve and William L., both of Morse Bluff; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Wesely of Cedar Bluffs, Mrs. Rudolph (Agnes) Sloup of Prague and Mrs. Edgar (Alyce) Baldwin of Little Sioux, Iowa; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont with the Rev. Ralph Librea officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery southwest of Morse Bluff. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Moser Memorial Chapel. Visitation wil be 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moser Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
