Bio

Billy James Nicholas passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2020. Billy James was born on October 24, 1959 to Billie Jean and John Nicholas in Brady, TX. Billy James attended Menard high school where he played football and was loved and known by many. He spent most of his younger years fishing and working with his father welding or in the oil field. There wasn't a whole lot Billy James could not do, he was a man of many trades. He also loved being around his family and friends. He had a smile that could light up the room. Survivors include daughter, Chelsea Nicholas of Menard, TX and son Jason Nicholas of Killeen, TX. His partner Tracy Barker of Menard, TX. Brother John Nicholas of Eden, TX, sisters Mary Lou Kinsey of Sterling City, TX and Sally Hudson of Ranger, TX. He had three step daughters who he loved as his own, Casie, Kami, and Christy. And his grandkids Harper Rae, Avery Jade, and Gage James. Billy James is preceded in death my his parents, his brother Mike McCartney, and sister Margaret Ann Shores. Billy James is being cremated and the family will have a service at a later date and time. The family would like to thank everyone who has helped and reached out during this difficult time.
