Bio

Funeral service for Barbara Kay Bell, 75, of Lawton will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at First Baptist West with Rev. Harold Gaches, pastor officiating. Ms. Bell passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Lawton. Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. Due to Covid restrictions, masks and social distancing are required at the church and funeral home. Barbara was born on December 23, 1944 in Sterling, Oklahoma to Fletcher and Velda (Moore) King. She attended Central High School and graduated from Lawton High School. She worked for Meadors Department Store, Wackers, and later Northup. She then began her career at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where she was a buyer. She retired in 2007 after 27 years of dedicated service. Barbara grew up in Northside Baptist Church and was later a member of First Baptist West. She liked to bake, work in the garden, and enjoyed country music. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Darrell and Sabrina Bell, of Lawton, OK; her daughters and sons in law, Deanna and Chuck Gervin, of Lawton, OK and Sheri and Tim Lederer, of Duncan, OK; her brother and sister in law, Donnie and Sharon King, of Fort Worth, TX; her sister in law, Mickie King; her grandchildren, Brittney Meredith and husband, Chance, Payton Gervin, Adriana Gervin, and Robbie Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved furbabies, Lola and Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Billy King.
