Bio
Frank James Strmiska, 74, of Taylor, Texas was called to his eternal life in heaven on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at his residence in Taylor. Frank was born on Oct. 9, 1932 in Granger, the son of Joe and Mary (Skrhak) Strmiska. On Sept.15, 1956 he was joined in marriage to Margie Neitsch. He was a retired postal mail carrier. Frank was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. His passion was playing the guitar and reading his bible, and he loved the lord and his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Frank was preceded in death by his infant son Dusty; his parents; and his three brothers, Jerry, George and Daniel Strmiska. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Margie Strmiska of Taylor; three daughters, Tammy Eulenfeld and husband Craig, Roxann Tschoerner and husband Terry, and Vickie Strmiska, all of Taylor; two sons, Ricky Strmiska of Austin and Rusty Strmiska and wife Rosemary of Coupland; three sisters, Frances Steffek of Elgin, Georgie Drodz of Temple and Geraldine Schneider of Bryan; a brother, Clement Strmiska of Granger; four grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jordan and Tracy Tschoerner and Tara and Jena Eulenfeld, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 6 p.m. at the Condra Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. in Condra Memorial Chapel with Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clement Strmiska Jr., Clement Lee Strmiska, George Strmiska Jr., Tommy Strmiska, Bernard Strmiska and Joseph Strmiska. Condra Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
