LEXINGTON – William Knispel, 92, died Saturday at a Lexington nursing home. He was born December 10, 1894, in Berlin, Germany, to Henry and Wilhelmina Frank Knispel. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Knispel farmed most of his life in the Eddyville area. He was a World War I veteran. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church Buffalo. He is survived by his wife, Clara; two sons, Alfred and Lavern, both of Eddyville; two daughters, Arlene Struempler of Berwin and Elsie Struepmler of Oconto; one brother, Theodore of Lexington; three sisters, Emma Berwaldt of Plainville, Ohio, Leona Dunton of Smith Center, Kansas, and Martha Neben of Overton; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the First Lutheran Church Buffalo with the Rev. Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors by the American Legion Post No. 250 at Oconto. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Contributor: (47474905)
