Paula Jean "Polly" Dockery Graham McMurry September 1, 1929 ~ October 21, 2020 Polly McMurry Graham, 91, passed away October 21, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was born September 1, 1929 to her parents, Earl Dockery and Freda Dockery in Trenton, Texas. Polly and Aubrey Everett married in 1946 and moved to West Texas to seek their fortune. She worked in bookkeeping and banks. Polly and A.E. established a successful welding supply business in Lubbock, Texas. She was always active in supporting her children in all their social, extracurricular church activities. Polly and A.E. were active members of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. She taught Sunday School, training union and coordinated the flowers for the altar weekly. They moved to Garland in 1974. She continued to work with A.E. in the welding supply business until his death in 1989. Polly and Archie married in 1992. They enjoyed traveling to various golf resorts and other fun destinations. Archie says after knowing Polly and all their loving experiences they shared, Polly made me "Archie" a better person than I could have ever imagined. Archie has been instrumental in maintaining a caring, loving, comfortable lifestyle for Polly in their home in Garland. She always had a flair for fashion. She will be remembered as the life of the party and for making things fun. She was extremely loving and kindhearted. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Aubrey Everett "A.E." McMurry; her siblings, Bonita Shinpaugh, Edward "Dick" Dockery, May Evelyn Wilson, James Earl "Bun" Dockery, Mary Lou Kissinger and Johnnie Nell Ferguson. Survived by her husband of 28 years, Archie Lee Graham Sr, sister, Helen Frances Row, children, Daniel Everett McMurry, Lucy Jean Bus and Dixie Lou Holloman, grand children and great grand children.
