Bio

Bernard Bohuslav Naizer, 80, of Granger went home to join his Creator and loved ones on Thursday, August 5, 2004. A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2004 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Msgr. John Frizelle officiating. Graveside service and interment will be 2 pm, Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Arrangements have been entrusted to Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Bennie was born on May 5, 1924 to John R. and Marcella (Bartosh) Naizer in Granger, Texas. He served his country as a Seaman First Class in the US Navy during World War II. Bennie was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the KJT Society No. 28 as well as a member of the SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. He married Genevieve Polasek Kallus on September 23,1962 at SS Cyril and Methodius Church in Granger. She preceded him in death on February 14, 1978. Bennie was a retired farmer who enjoyed his daily trips to his farm on the San Gabriel River east of Granger. He enjoyed life and loved his family and friends, who will lovingly remember him always as "Uncle Bennie." He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; brothers, Albert, Henry, and Johnnie; and sisters, Annie Rosipal, Edith Hajda, and Mary Ella Prikryl. Survivors include two brothers, Lad and wife Thelma and Daniel and wife Sybil, all of Granger; one sister, Martha Otilie Maresh of Robinson; and also numerous nieces,nephews, and cousins. Honorary pallbearers include his nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to SS Cyril & Methodius Church or School, P.O. Box 608, Granger, TX. 76530 or to the charity of one s choice.
