Bio

Edith Rose Naizer Hajda went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2004. Edith was born in Granger to John and Marcellina (Bartosh) Naizer on August 28, 1914 and married Timothy Hajda on July 22, 1940. She lived in Granger all her life and was a devout member of the SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother spending her life as a homemaker best known for her warm and friendly smiles, but most of all for her baked pastry goods, quilts, and beautiful flowers. Edith had worked part time at Condra Funeral Home in Granger. She was a member of KJZT, KJT, Catholic Life, Granger Road Runner, President of the Mother's Club (PTC), Granger Business Women, and the Ladies Fire Auxiliary. She also assisted in assimilating the information for the Historical Marker at Neusserville/Naizerville on FM 971. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Timothy; three brothers, Albert, Henry, and Johnnie Naizer; two sisters, Annie Rosipal and Mary Ella Prikryl. She is survived by her two children, son Tim Hajda and wife Paula of Taylor and daughter Marcie Von Quintus and husband Harold of Round Rock; three brothers Bernard, Daniel, and Laddie Naizer of Granger and one sister Otilie Maresh of Waco. Six grandchildren Bryan Hajda and wife Janice of Granger, Pamela Vrabel and husband John of Pflugerville, Sandra Kaderka and husband Roger of Pflugerville, and Brandon, Andrea, and Dustin Von Quintus, all of Round Rock; five great grandchildren Megan Hajda, Amber, Rachel, and Sarah Vrabel, and Joseph Kaderka. In addition she is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. A mother/grandmother's heart is full of love. The family will receive friends at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 with the Rosary recited at 7:30 pm at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 am, Wed. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Rev. Isidore Ndagizimana officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Granger. Pallbearers include Bryan Hajda, John Vrabel, Roger Kaderka, Brandon and Dustin Von Quintus, Johnnie Naizer, and Mark Hajda.
