LeVina Mierau age 83 of Henderson, NE died Monday, March 27, 2006 at Henderson. She was born April 5, 1922 in Henderson to George A. and Katherina (Friesen) Friesen and was a 1939 graduate of Henderson High School. LeVina was united in marriage to Arthur H. Mierau on August 25, 1942 in Henderson. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church where she had served as treasurer for 30 years, the Henderson Women's Club, Homemaker's Club and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. She was also a member of the Nebraska Community Improvement Program and enjoyed China Painting. She is survived by her sons Randy Mierau and his wife Diana of York and Milan Mierau and his wife Deb of Henderson; daughter Judy and her husband Mark Epp of Henderson; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Tod) Riley of York, Danielle (Matt) Siebert of Henderson, Robert Mierau of Henderson, Jeb (Nicole) Mierau of Lincoln, Andrew (Jessica) Mierau of Austin, TX, Jerod (Kim) Epp of Omaha, Kayleanne Epp of Mesa, AZ, Caitlin Epp of Omaha and Daniel Epp of Henderson; Great-grandchildren, Hannah, Allison and Lauren Riley of York, Colton, Alexa and Gabrielle Siebert of Henderson, Ryne and Hayden Mierau of Henderson, Owen Mierau of Lincoln and Mekenna Epp of Omaha. Also surviving is a sister, Lenora Peters and a sister-in-law Edna Friesen both of Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Carolyn Beatty and Elsie Friesen, two brothers, Richard Friesen and Levi Friesen, and two brothers-in-law Henry Beatty and Arnold Peters. Memorial services were held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Public graveside services were held at the Bethesda cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Church's Stained Glass Window Fund or to the family.
