Bio

Randall Gene Mierau age 74 of York, NE died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Lincoln, NE. He was born September 16, 1946 at Henderson, NE to Arthur and LeVina (Friesen) Mierau. On October 7, 1967 he was married to Diana Rose at Henderson. Randall was a Certified Public Accountant in the York area for many years. He was a member of the York Optimist Club, York County Crime Stoppers, the York Chamber of Commerce Ambassador’s, and the York Country Club. A Corvette enthusiast, he loved trains, golfing, playing pitch, watching Dodger and Cubs baseball games and attending NU Basketball. He loved having morning coffee with his friends through the years. He is survived by his wife Diana of York, daughter Lisa (Tod) Riley of York and son Andrew (Jessica) Mierau of Frederick, CO. His grandchildren include, Hannah (Hayden) Robb of York and Allison Riley and her fiance’ Patrick Donnelly both of Omaha, NE. Lauren Riley of York, Isabelle Mierau, Ava Mierau and Isaac Mierau all of Frederick, CO. Also surviving is his brother Milan (Deb) Mierau and his sister Judy (Mark) Epp all of Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Randall’s family wishes to express their appreciation to Sarah Schroeder APRN, Dr. Richard Thompson, Dr Matthew Glathar and all of the York General Dialysis staff and nurses. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Tony Dawson officiating. Inurnment will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to York General Dialysis or to the family for later designation. COVID 19 Funeral Guidelines will be implemented with limited spaced seating (75% occupancy), 6 feet of separation between household units and masks required. ​
