Rev. Stingle's Father Succumbs in Appleton The Rev Lawrence Stingle, assistant pastor of the Church of the Annunciation, has been culled to Appleton by the death of his father, Anton Stingle, 71, which occurred Tuesday in an Appleton hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Friday morning at St. Joseph's church, Appleton, with burial in Appleton. Franklin street, died at 2 o'clock this morning in Appleton after an illness of one year. He was born Jan. 16, 1871, in Cicero. Wis., and was engaged in the bakery business in Appleton for a period of 51 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Holy Name society. St. Joseph society, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, Catholic Order of Foresters and of St. Joseph Catholic church. Survivors are the widow: four sons, Sylverius Stingle and Dr. R.J. Stingle, Appleton, Private Clarence O. Stingle, Fort Logan, Colo., and the Rev. Lawrence Stingle. Green Bay; three brothers. Joseph and Frank. Black Creek, and Edward, rural Appleton: and two sisters. Mrs. John Felton. Escanaba. Mich., and Mrs. Katherine Goldsmith, Green Bay . . . The funeral cortege will from at the Wichmann Funeral home at 8:30 Friday morning and a solemn requiem mass will be conducted at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph church with a json. the Rev. Lawrence Stingle.
