DAILY LEADER May 01, 2003 Gladys B. Gay Services for Gladys B. Gay of Summit are 3 p.m., Friday, May 2, at Concord Baptist Church in Franklin County with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 1-3 p.m., at the church. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Gay, 86, died April 30, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Southwest in McComb. She was born in Franklin County on April 15, 1917, to George W. Gill and Leona Howard Gill. She was a retired machine operator for Kellwood Company. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Claude Gill; and a sister, Lula Gill. Survivors are her son, Windsor Gay of Summit; her daughter, Versie Gay Jones of Baker, La.; her sister, Mary Gill Godbold of McComb; her brothers, Luther Gill of Brookhaven, Clyde Gill of Bude, and Chester Gill of Metairie, La.; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Dunk Wallace.
