Charles Henry Kirby, 82, of Arp, TX passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Tyler, TX. Charles was born December 11, 1933 in Aubrey, Texas to Elzia Eugene Kirby and Verna Thelma Gregory. Charles married Patsene Hodges on February 23, 1970 in Durant, OK. Charles served in the United States Air Force. Charles is survived by his wife, Patsene; three sons, Tracy and Scott Kirby of Alba, TX, and Kyle Kirby, of Irving, TX; four daughters, Benita Littleton and husband Roger, of Athens, TX, Becky Waltman and husband Calvin, of Kemp, TX, Denise Weishuhn and husband Kenny, of Fayetteville, TX and Rhonda Hodges, of McKinney, TX; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Kirby of Emory, TX and Jack Shockey of Dallas, TX. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Verna Kirby and Elzia and wife, Mary Kirby; son, Butch Kirby; sister, Ann Moody and grandson, Colby Waltman. Visitation will be held 6:30PM-8:00PM, Monday, October 24, 2016 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Aubrey in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Aubrey in Aubrey, TX. Burial will be at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX.
