Funeral Service for Anna Pearl Moody will be Thursday, 2:00 pm January 23, 2014 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Anna Pearl Moody, age 78 of Emory, died on Monday, January 20, 2014, at Rockwall Senior Care Center. She was born May 31, 1935, in , to Elzia Eugene and Verna Thelma Gregory Kirby. Anna married Riley Gordon Moody in Lafayette, AR on November 18, 1951. They enjoyed spending time together dancing and having fun. They were married 60 plus years. She worked in retail sales for many years with Gibson's and Howard's Department Stores. She always enjoyed reading good romance and mystery novels in her free time and she could also be considered a movie buff. Anna had a heart for ALL children, not just her own, and she gave herself unconditionally for them by being a Foster Mom for troubled teens in both TX and LA. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include: Son: Michael Gordon Moody of Rowlett Daughters: Theresa Ann Joesting of Rockwall and Kara Stevens (Randy) of Royse City Brothers: Charles Henry Kirby of Arp, Edward Eugene Kirby of Emory, and Jack Shockey of Dallas Grandchildren: Sean Michael Moody, Carrie Ann Holtzclaw, David Levi Stevens, Daniel Martin Stevens Great-Grandchildren: Cody, Alexis, Lauren, Addison, Hallelujah, Selah, and Elijah Step-mother: Mary Kirby Numerous other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Husband in 2012 Arrangements are with Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
