Bio

Roger August Scott was the son of Henry M. Scott Sr. and Ora Mae Cotten Scott. His parents are buried in Huffman Cemetery in Huffman in Harris Co, TX. He shares a stone with his wife, Ruth Kirkwood Scott. OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Sunday, 16 January 1972: Roger Scott, 56, of Baytown, husband of Mrs. Ruth Kirkwood Scott, former resident of Anderson County, died Saturday morning in a Baytown Hospital following a brief illness. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Elkhart. Mr. Scott was an employee of Humble Oil Company in Baytown. Survivors in addition to the widow include one daughter, Mrs. Fred Gentry of Baytown; two brothers and five sisters.
