Bio

Johnnie was a kind and loving person. She had a way with animals and frequently had a pet squirrel,raccoon or other wild animal that she had rescued and saved.She loved to sing and had a beautiful singing voice.She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Services for Johnnie G. Gossett Colbert, 83, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Fields Chapel Cemetery with the Revs. Christopher Ward and W.E. Shiflet officiating. Mrs. Colbert died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center. All arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Palestine.
