KATIE B. RHODES Funeral services for Katie Bell Rhodes,80, of Route 1, Gordonville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Huff Chapel in Whitesboro. She died Monday, June 28, 1982, at Community Hospital, Grand Prairie, Texas. Otis Proffitt, Church of Christ Minister, of Whitesboro, will conduct the services. Burial will be at Gordonville Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home, Whitesboro. Mrs. Rhodes was born on Jan. 10, 1902, in Love County, Okla., the daughter of Andrew and Lona (Vinson) Willis. She married Troy Elbert Rhodes on June 8, 1918 in Enville, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct 7, 1980, and a daughter, Margaret Morale, Oct. 12, 1980. She was a member of Gordonville Church of Christ. Survivors include: five sons, Edmond A. Rhodes, Arlington, Texas, Alvin R. Rhodes, Garber, Okla., Jack W. Rhodes, Helena, Okla., S.F. Rhodes, Dallas, Texas, Troy Gene Rhodes, Mesquite, Texas, a daughter, Wanda Jane Cupp, of Houston, Texas; a brother, Hershell Willis, Ardmore, Okla.; two sisters, Grace Amyx, Porter, Texas, and Mattie Meeks, Marietta, Okla.; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Bobby Ed Rhodes, Lafayette, La., Mike Rhodes, Fort Worth, Tex., John Michael Canfield, Houston, Tex., Buddy Andrews, Everman, Tex., a son-in-law, John Cupp, Houston, Tex., and a nephew, David Meeks, Mesquite, Texas.
