JAMES V. "BUDDY" BUSH, JR. Services for James V. "Buddy" Bush, Jr., 76, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Clement-Keel Chapel in Gainesville with Pastor Larry Huffman of Grace Friendship Baptist and Kerry Lupkey, Chaplain for Home Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mr. Bush died Aug. 30, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born June 14, 1931 in Henrietta to James Virgil, Sr., and Ruby Mae (Spears) Bush. On Jan. 19, 1957, he married Katherine Ruth Tyl in Texarkana, TX. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Valley View and was a retired watch repairman. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #600 of Valley View and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife Katherine Bush of Gainesville, sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Wilma Bush of Whitesboro; Kenneth and Kaye Bush of Edmond, Okla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Kerry Lupkey of Farmington, Mo. and Sheila and Joe Odom of Valley View; grandchildren and spouses, Dusty and Sarah Bush of Saginaw; Mark Lupkey of Rolla, Mo.; Brady and Timber Blackshear of Sherman, Drew and Heather Blackshear of Denison; Chelsey and Wesley Huddleston of Fort Bragg, NC; Brittary Odom of Stephenville; Brianne Odom of Valley View; Rebekah Lupkey of Farmington, Mo.; Whitney Bush of Edmond, Okla.; Jacey Bush of Edmond, Okla.; Ramsey Bush of Edmond, Okla.; Madison Bush of Edmond, Okla.; and Valerie Blackshear of Whitesboro and great-grandchildren Tyson Blackshear of Sherman; Logan Blackshear of Whitesboro and Katie Blackshear of Denison, his sister, Dorothy Guill of Amarillo and his beloved dog Gizmo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers are Dusty Bush, Mark Lupkey, Ramsey Bush, Brady Blackshear, Drew Blackshear and Matthew Snider. Visitation is planned for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
