Ruby Mae Bush, 87, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 31, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Dale Mooreland, associate pastor at San Jacinto Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Bush was born in Coal County, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Amarillo before moving to Arizona. She returned to Amarillo in 1981. She worked in retail clothing sales. She was a member of Baptist St. Anthony Auxiliary, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Order of Eastern Star Bonita Chapter. Mrs. Bush was a volunteer food server at Northwest Village and a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She married Virgil Bush in 1929 at Waxahachie. He died in 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Guill of Amarillo; a son, James Virgil Bush Jr. of Valleyview; two brothers, A.C. Spears and O.C. Spears, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders, 2200 W. Seventh Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79106 or a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News, April 1, 2000
