Bio

Billie Jack Badgett, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Willis, Okla., and had been a resident of Las Vegas, since 1963. Bill was an active member of the I.B.E.W., since 1970. He retired in 1988, as a master electrician. He was a member of the Masonic Oasis Lodge #42 of Las Vegas. Bill married Gladys Derrick May 23, 1947. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Ronnie Lyn and Jerry Dean Badgett; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Badgett Sr.; brother, J.C. Badgett Jr.; and sisters, Ruby Bell, Ruth Jones, Maggie Lee Askew and Bessie Hefner. Bill is survived by his loving wife, of 58 years, Gladys Badgett of Las Vegas; sons, Don and Greg Badgett; granddaughters, Barbara, Kelly and Shawna Badgett, all of Las Vegas; and sister, Louise Sampler of Farmington, N.M. We are all blessed to have known and loved you. Viewing will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, with funeral services to follow, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Interment will be at Palm Valley View Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Arrangements handled by Bunkers Mortuary. Published in Las Vegas Review-Journal on Sep. 6, 2005
