MARKERT, Mrs. Emma Lehman (Theodor) of Thorndale. Age 78. Died 4/1/1972 (Sat.) in a Taylor Nursing Home. Services held from St.Paul Lutheran Church. Burial in church cemetery. Rev. V.M. Appel, her pastor, officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She was BORN 3/19/1894 at Fedor in Lee Co., to Ernest and Ernestine Simank Lehman. Came to Thorndale at an early age and had made her home in the Arkansas Comm., east of Thorndale most of her life. Married to Theodor Markert on 7/23/1917. SURVIVORS: Husband, Theodor Markert; 5 daughters, Mrs. Frank Kovar, Mrs. Edwin Marx, both of Taylor, Mrs. Ray Schiller of Austin, Mrs. Alfred Pinson of Grapevine and Mrs. Spencer Kleinert of Bastrop; 3 sons, Clarence Markert, Lawrence Markert and Rudolph Markert, all of Austin; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
