Mrs. Erna Margaret Kovar, 81, of Temple died Friday March 12, 2008 in a Temple nursing center. Graveside services for Mrs. Kovar will be at 10:00 AM Saturday March 15, 2008 at Granger Brethren Cemetery with Pastor Paul Proctor officiating. Mrs. Kovar was born December 6, 1926 in Thorndale, Texas the daughter of Theodore and Emma Lehmann Markert. She married Frank Kovar, Sr. and they were married 45 years before his death in July 1991. She was retired from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a member of the Evangelical Brethren Church in Temple for many years. She is survived by one son Frank Kovar, Sr. of Lake Buchannan and one daughter Betty Kovar Pausewang of Temple. Three sisters Ella Faye Pinson of Mexia, Madelin Schiller of Austin and Evelyn Tomacek of Georgetown also survive her. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive her. One sister, three brothers and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
