Bio
Mrs. Thelma Clara Adams, 81, of Athens, died Thursday in a Huntsville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Northside Church of Christ with Burl Grubbs and Fred Evans officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing. Survivors include six sons, Morris Eldridge Adams of Elkmont, and Jerry Adams, Alvin Adams, James "Buddy" Adams, Harrison Adams and Grady Adams Jr., all of Athens; six daughters, Mary Watts of New Market, Evelyn Gatlin of Madison, Ruby Haggermaker of Elkmont and Cora Pugh, Dorothy Vinson and Ester Barnett, all of Athens; a sister, Cora Wise of Lester; 81 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
