Bio
Nannie Irene Byrum was the daughter of Ralph Henderson Bryum and Nancy Evelyn Turner of Ladonia, Fannin Co, TX. She went by the name "Irene." Irene Byrum married Walter George Fry on July 23, 1902 in Wellington, Collingsworth Co, TX. He died in 1905 leaving her with 2 young daughters, Mary Evelyn Fry and Walta Ethel Fry. She married William Burder Haile on August 28, 1913 in Ladonia, Fannin Co, TX. Widowed from a previous marriage he had 6 young children: Verdie Ruth, William Chloris, James Burder, Bettie Bee, Palmer Meade, and Minnie Nadine Haile. Together they had one child, Bryum Hodges Haile born July 5, 1915. A blended family of nine children. As Burt and Irene got older, they moved to Amarillo from the ranch in Hutchinson County and lived the remainder of their lives there. Byrum Hodges Haile and wife Lucille moved back to Texas from Oklahoma to take care of his mother after she was widowed.
