LAURENCE, Wendell H. "Jack" of Taylor. Age 73. Died 9/18/1981 (Friday) at his home. Services held (Monday) at Condra Funeral Home. Burial in family plot at Lawrence Chapel. Rev. Howard Buchanan officiated. He was BORN 6/12/1908 and was a resident of the Taylor area for many years. Veteran of WW-2 and worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 30 years. SURVIVORS: Wife, Lucille Laurence of Taylor; daughter, Arden Ruth Williams of Lubbock; 2 sons, Randall J. Laurence of Lubbock and D.P. Laurence of Thorndale; 2 sisters, Mrs. Arden Barr of Shiloh, Mrs. Mildred Eckman of Pasadena; 2 brothers, Rufus D. Laurence and Fred Laurence, both of Shiloh Comm.; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grand-children; numerous nieces and nephews.
