LAURENCE, Sidney Duncan of Taylor. Age 65. Died 4/3/1976 (Sat.) in Johns Community Hospital, Taylor, after suffering a heart attack several days earlier. Services held (Monday) in Condra Memorial Chapel, Taylor. Burial in family plot in Lawrence Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Bob Little, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Taylor, officiated. Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 5/27/1910 in Thorndale, parents were the late Fred H. and Sarrah Simmons Laurence. Married in 1934 to Miss Ada Mae Brown who preceded him in death. On 12/31/1965 he married Mrs. Millie Nelson. Lived in Taylor for 29 years and retired after 27 years as a railroad employee. Member of above church in Taylor. Nephews were pallbearers: Laurence and Kenneth Barr, Randall and Denzil Laurence, Fred E. Laurence, Jr. and Terry Laurence. SURVIVORS: Wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Sydna Mae) Buzan of Aniston, AL. and Mrs. Betty Lou Dentler of Abilene; son, Eugene Laurence of Austin and a step-son, Curtis C. Gill of Houston; 16 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Dick (Arden) Barr of Austin, Mrs. Mangum (Mildred) Eckman of Pasadena; 3 brothers, W.H. (Jack) Laurence of Taylor, Fred E. Laurence and Rufus D. Laurence, both of Thrall; cousins, Miss Eloise and T.L. Laurence of Thorndale.
