OBITUARY: "J. Hiram Chesebro died at the home of his son, Alvin D. Chesebro, in this village on Monday afternoon last. He had been in poor health for nearly two years past and had failed rapidly for the last few days. Blood poisoning and dropsy are ascribed as the cause of death. He was born in the town of Brookfield 75 years ago on what is now the LeRoy Larkin farm. Later he moved to the farm two and half miles west of this village where he spent almost the entire remainder of his life or until coming to the village to reside with his son. His father, Jerod Chesebro, was one of the well known and sturdy men identified with the town's earlier days and who passed away a number of years ago ... He is survived by three children, Alvin D., Mrs. Orra Page and Mrs. Ida White all of this town. The funeral services will be held from the home of his son on Thursday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev.
