FUCHS, Arthur W. of Thrall. Age 64. Died 7/23/1972 (Sunday) (in paper on 7/20/72) unexpectedly in a Taylor hospital. Services held (Tuesday) in St.John Lutheran Church in Thrall. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Revs. E. Herber and James Heineke officiated. Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, in charge of arrangements. He was born 1/30/1908 near Thrall to L.W. and Martha S. Braun Fuchs. He lived most of his life near Thrall in Williamson Co. Married Miss Era Edner on 6/14/1928. Mr. Fuchs, was formerly manager of the Professional Building in Temple from 1929 to 1933 and was one of the organizer of Temple Mutual Life Insurance Co. At the time of his death he was a director and cashier of the Thorndale State Bank, a position he held since 1959. He was President of the Thrall School Homecoming Asso. and an active member of St.John Lutheran Church in Thrall. SURVIVORS: Wife of Thrall; daughter, Mrs. Curtis Kerlin of Austin; 2 grandchildren, Carla Sue and Coby Kerlin of Austin; 2 brothers, Raymond Fuchs of Thrall and Ben Fuchs of Long Beach, CA.; sister, Mrs. W.L. Valenta of Victoria; number of nieces and nephews.
