FUCHS, William G. of Thrall. Age 60. Died 5/30/1970 after heart surgery the week before death in an Austin hospital and thought to be recovering at time of death. Services held (Tuesday) at St.John Lutheran Church in Thrall. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. His pastor, Rev. James Heineke, officiated. Condra Funeral Directors of Taylor in charge of arrangements. He was born abt 1910 and was a lifelong resident of Thrall. Member of above church. Postmaster of Thrall for 19 years and was a rural mail carrier since 1958. Charter member of the Thrall Lions Club; National Rural Letter Carriers Asso and the National Postmasters Asso. SURVIVORS: Wife, his mother, Mrs. L.W. Fuchs of Thrall; 3 sons, Gene of San Antonio, Walter R. of Ft.Worth and Kenneth of Austin; grandson and 2 granddaughters; sister, Mrs. Bert Valenta of Victoria; 3 brothers, Arthur and Raymond Fuchs, both of Thrall and Ben Fuchs of Long Beach, CA.
