Delores James, age 71, of Grand Island, formerly of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at CHI-St. Francis Medical Center only 5 hours and one minute after her husband passed away. A private family inurnment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date. Delores Jean James, the daughter of George and Cecilia (Kuta) Chollar, Jr., was born in Columbus, Nebraska on November 4, 1948 and passed away on April 23, 2020 at the age of 71. Delores grew up and attended school in Aurora. Delores married Orrie Junior James on June 21, 1976 at Grand Island. They had two children. Delores worked in several cafes and was domestic help for several families in the area. They moved to Grand Island in 2015. Delores was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and other family members. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard of Kansas; daughter, Kimberly of Seward; several grandchildren; brother, Richard Chollar of Bakersfield, California; sister-in-law, Betty Wengler and several nieces and nephews and other family members and friends
