Bio

Jean Beerwinkle peacefully passed from this life on earth to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was born on January 23, 1940, to John and Lorine Hildebrand, the third of five girls. Jean attended Somerville schools and later worked in the office at A&M Laundry. She met the love of her life, Kenneth R. Beerwinkle on a blind date, and they were married in December of 1964. Jean and Kenneth were blessed with two children, Tammy and Kenneth Allen, and are Mimi and Papa to two grandchildren, Taylor and Halley. Jean was a homemaker and spent many years as a child care provider, and was lovingly named “Mama Jean” by many children. Her loving heart and caring smile will always be remembered by all who knew her. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lorine Hildebrand, in-laws, Ruben and Esther Beerwinkle, sister, Lois Calvin, brothers-in-law, Charles Stolte, John Thim, and Homer Calvin. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kenneth R. Beerwinkle, daughter Tammy Reynolds and husband, James of College Station, son Kenneth A. Beerwinkle and partner, Robert Lewis of Dallas, grandson Taylor Reynolds of Grand Island, Nebraska, granddaughter Halley Reynolds of College Station, sisters Vernaline Stolte, Fay Thim, and Carolyn Johnson and husband David, brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Pat Beerwinkle, David and Sidney Beerwinkle, Linda and Tommy Birch, Larry and Margaret Beerwinkle, Dale and Linda Beerwinkle, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Faith United Church of Christ, 2901 Austin’s Colony Parkway, Bryan, TX 77808. Memorials donations can be made to Faith United Church of Christ.
