Bio

Funeral services for William Thomas George, 69, who died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at his home 2110 West Prairie, were held at Gribble Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. J. H. Young. Burial was in the Gribble Springs Cemetery and pallbearers were Victor and Alton Gheen, C. George, Robert George, Frances Stitchcomb, and Roland George. George was born in Kentucky Dec. 14, 1867 and had lived in Texas 40 years. He was married to Miss Emma Bell Pennington in Collin County Jan. 14, 1891 and she survives. He is also survived by five children, Mrs. Bertie Owens of Decatur, Mrs. Bertha Whitworth, Lee George, Mrs. Altha Ralls, and Raymond George, all of Denton, and the following sisters and brothers--J.R. George of Denton, Perry George of Sanger, Mrs. Cora Sims of Bolivar, Mrs. Mary Sims of California, Mrs. M. Hawthorne, Mrs. Dora Patterson, and Mrs. Alice Lawson-all of Oklahoma.
