Buried with Bessie Risinger Closs. ∼ Transcription of Obituary from The Bryan Eagle, Thursday, 12 January 1978 Mrs. Smith Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Risinger Smith, 83, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Risinger of Steep Hollow, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hillier Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Duane Riley and the Rev. Roy Hollomon of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Steep Hollow Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 9, 1894, in Bryan and had lived here nearly all of her life. She was a retired elementary and secondary school teacher in the Bryan and Baytown schools. She died Wednesday at her home in College Station. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include three brothers, Alton Risinger and B. L. Risinger both of Bryan and B. F. Risinger of Shamrock; a sister, Mrs. R. E. Jones of Bryan; and a number of nieces and nephews. Spouse of T.
