Bio
Mildred was born on March 24, 1928 to John and Nora Krause in rural Jansen, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Norman Brott on March 28, 1948 in Jansen. To this union they had 5 children, Ron, Warren, Dennis, Janice and Linda. Mildred enjoyed the small things in life such as sewing, baking and growing her flowers. Her baking skills were second to none, as she was proud of her homemade bread, cookies and pies. She was proud to be a great cook and an even better homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter and the Ladies Aid. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Brott; Parents, John and Nora Krause; brothers, Vernon and Harlan Krause; and sister Norma Jean Peters Johnson. She is survived by her children, Ron (April) Brott of Ankeny, Warren (Jayme) Brott of Van Meter, Dennis (Barb) Brott of Earlham, Janice (Rusty) Daniels of West Des Moines, and Linda (John) Johnston of White Bear Lake, MN; sister, Maralyn Ostgren of Fairbury, NE ; sister-in-law, Sally Krause of Brownwood, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter. Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory
