Harlan Krause AUBERRY, Calif. - Harlan Krause, 72, Auberry, Calif., died on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at his home. He was born on Dec. 24, 1930, at Fairbury, Neb., attended country school near Jansen, Neb., and served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He married Valgene Germer on Jan. 27, 1953, at Plymouth, Neb. They moved to California in 1954. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years.Survivors: wife, Valgene; daughters, Kathy Senn and husband Del of Newport News, Va., Valorie Cobb of Auberry; sisters, Mildred Brott of Ames, Iowa, Norma Johnson of Wymore, Neb., Marilyn Ostgren and husband Stan of Fairbury, Neb.; brother, Vernon Krause and wife Sally of Jansen, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora (Grummert) Krause.Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, Cub Creek Cemetery, rural Jansen, Neb., Pastor Aaron Simons officiating. Visitation: at Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice, Neb., on Tuesday from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m.; and on Wednesday at the cemetery one hour preceding the service. Memorial established to the American Cancer Society with Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge.
