Peggy Faye Shook Baumgartner, 88, of Corsicana, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Peggy Faye was born on August 27, 1931, in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Milford D. and Ida McCrary Shook. Peggy touched the lives of everyone she met. Many knew her as 'grandmother', always ready to go to the next sporting event or activity Elizabeth, Hayden, and Dillon, or the precious great-grandsons were doing. She came baring noise-makers, snacks, sandwiches, and drinks for all to enjoy. Peggy was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she proudly served as church clerk. She loved “good ole southern gospel” music, always singing and praising the Lord. She loved telling anyone that would listen about her Jesus. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Joe David Baumgartner; and brother, James "Buddy" Shook and his wife, Mildred. Survivors include her daughters, Anele Richardson and her husband, Mike, and Denise Brown; grandchildren: Elizabeth Collier and her husband, Kevin, Hayden Richardson and his wife, Tiffany, and Dillon Brown and his wife, Allison; great-grandsons: Corbin LeGrand, Jace Richardson, Gavin Collier, Kalib Richardson, Oakley Collier, and Judd Brown; many nieces and nephews, and all the bonus children she has loved over the years.
