El Maton—Elsie Sliva Williams, 79, of El Maton, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998. She was born March 13, 1918, in Holland, to the late John and Frances Zurek Kopecky. She was a homemaker. Survivors: sons, Emil Sliva, Joe Sliva and John Sliva, all of Blessing; sisters, Alice Vacek of Blessing and Mary Popek and Martha Thompson, both of El Maton; brother, Alfred Kopecky of El Maton; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: sister, Albina Vareska. Services will be 11 a. m. Monday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating.
