Emil Andrew Sliva, 74, a resident of El Maton passed away April 1 at his home. Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Elsie Sliva of El Maton; 3 sons, Emil Sliva Jr. of Houston, Joe Glenn Sliva of Blessing and Kenneth John Sliva of Midfield; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lidma Malinak of Houston, Mrs. Helen Soderquist of Wharton and Mrs. Jermela Kincannan of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held April 3 at 3 p. m. at Taylor Brothers Chapel with Rev. Henry Beseda officiating. Interment will be at the Hawley Cemetery with pallbearers being: Johnny Lee Thompson, Weldon Popek, E. R. Vacek Jr., Wallace Sealy, Shelton Hebert and Bill Richardson.
