Louis V. Stanislav, 79, rural Onawa, died Monday at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church In Onawa. The Rev. Donald Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Pearson Funeral Home. Mr. Stanislav was born Nov. 8, 1899, in Valparaiso, Neb. He married Mary Pokorny Jan. 9, 1923, in Greenwood, Neb. He was a farmer, retiring 12 years ago. He had worked for more than 20 years in the State Liquor Store in Onawa. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Eagles Lodge in Onawa. Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Marjorie) Parks and Mrs. Dayle (Darlene) Ellis, both of Whiting, and Mrs. A. M. Camacho of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Robert of Woodbine; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Stanislav of Onawa; and three brothers, John of Blencoe, Joe of Onawa, and Charles of Sioux City.
