Frances Starek Sheppard, resident of Blooming Grove, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at her residence at the age of 77 years. She was born on Jan. 7, 1930 in Kaufman County to Frank Starek Jr. and Annie Balajka Starek. She is survived by her husband of 37 years Donald E. Sheppard of Blooming Grove; sons Michael R. Myers and wife Jewell of Mansfield and Gary Sheppard and wife Martha of Crosby; and daughters, Terri Watson and husband Christopher of Commerce, and Kyra Cariker and husband Kenneth of Henderson; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry "Buddy" Starek of Aley, and Richard Starek of Mount Vernon; sisters: Joan Stewart of Ennis and Dorothy Baker of Aley; and dear friend and caregiver Nikki. Visitation will be today, July 16, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at noon at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove with Bro. Grady Cashion officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Myers, Jerry Pommerening Roger Sewell, Steve Dwcraczyk, Bob Hailey and Jim Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be David Ivey, Leon Phillips, John Ferrell and Boyd Bryant.
