Ann Zillah Smith Granad was the daughter of Jerome Smith and Margaret Turner Smith. She married Dan Thomas Granad in Brown County, Texas 20 April 1882. To this union were born five children: Samuel A., Milissa Letitia, Josiah Rogers, Uylesses Eugene, and Coretta Myrtle McNeela.
