********************************************* Lorella A. “Tootie” Tlamka, 78, of Scribner, formerly of Fremont, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner. She was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Petersburg to Joseph and Mary (Kloester) Schrad. She grew up in the Raeville/Albion area until 1949 when she came to Fremont. She worked at the former Al’s Cafe in Fremont for a number of years. Lorella Schrad married Jerry J. Tlamka on April 19, 1951, in Fremont. He died Sept. 16, 2009. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. She helped out at St. Patrick’s Church and School over the years. Survivors include: two sons, John A. Tlamka (and wife, Vicki) of Fremont and Joseph A. Tlamka of Estes Park, Colo.; three daughters, Mary A. Minton of Fremont, Janet R. Nielsen (and husband, Curtis) of Stanton and Judith M. Hespen (and fiancé, Scott Getzschman) of Ames; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Patrick Minton and daughter-in-law, Ruth Tlamka.
