Bio

Born at Columbus, Nebraska, and received her education at Spalding and grew up on a farm near Spalding. She married Earl Murphy on Aug. 14, 1928, at Bartlett. They made their home in Greeley until 1942 when they moved to Grand Island. Mrs. Murphy worked on the lines at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant and later as a matron at the Plant. She also worked for 25 years for one family and 15 years for another before she retired. Member of St. Marys Cathedral. Survived by her husband; one son, Laurence Murphy of Grand Island; one daughter, Inez (Mrs. Bill) Reher of Grand Island; grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Nealon of Greeley. Preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Lilienthal and two infant brothers who died in Poland.
